Disclaimer
Last updated: April 8, 2026
PageSpeed.Biz, operated by ITULIS (itulis.com), strives for transparency in everything we do. This Disclaimer outlines important information about our services, results, and the nature of web performance optimization. Please read it carefully.
1. PageSpeed Scores Are Variable
Google PageSpeed Insights scores are not static values. They are generated through simulated testing and are subject to natural variation. Key factors include:
- Run-to-run variance: It is normal for scores to fluctuate by 2-5 points between consecutive tests due to network simulation jitter, CPU throttling variability, and server response time differences.
- Lab vs. Field data: PageSpeed Insights shows both lab data (simulated Lighthouse tests) and field data (real Chrome User Experience Report). These measure different things and can differ significantly.
- Device simulation: Mobile scores are tested using simulated Moto G Power on a slow 4G connection. Desktop scores use a standard desktop profile. Results on your actual device may differ.
- Testing location: Google runs tests from specific data centers. Server response times vary by geographic location, which can impact scores.
2. No Guarantee of Exact Scores
While we consistently achieve significant performance improvements and target specific score ranges, we do not and cannot guarantee a specific exact score (e.g., "we guarantee exactly 100/100"). Here's why:
- Google may change their scoring algorithm, weights, or audit criteria at any time without notice.
- Third-party scripts (analytics, chat widgets, payment processors) are often required by the client and will impact scores.
- Hosting environment performance is outside our direct control unless we manage your hosting as part of the engagement.
- CDN behavior, DNS resolution, and network conditions vary globally.
Our Performance Guarantee specifies target score ranges, not exact numbers, for this reason.
3. Third-Party Factors
Your website's performance is influenced by many external factors beyond our control:
- Third-party scripts: Google Analytics, Facebook Pixel, Hotjar, Intercom, ad networks, and similar tools inject JavaScript that impacts load times and scores. We can defer and optimize their loading but cannot eliminate their footprint entirely.
- Hosting performance: Server response time (TTFB) is directly tied to hosting quality. A slow server will limit achievable scores regardless of front-end optimization.
- CMS and platform limitations: Some platforms (e.g., certain WordPress themes, Shopify's mandatory scripts) impose performance constraints that can only be fully resolved through platform migration.
- Content changes: Adding large images, videos, embedded content, or new scripts after optimization can degrade performance.
- Plugin and theme updates: CMS updates can introduce new performance issues or override optimizations.
4. Results May Vary
The results displayed in our case studies and portfolio are real, verifiable outcomes achieved on specific projects under specific conditions. Your results may differ based on:
- The starting state and complexity of your website
- Your technology stack and hosting infrastructure
- Required third-party integrations that cannot be removed
- The scope and budget of the optimization engagement
- Client-side changes made during or after optimization
We provide honest assessments during our initial audit and will set realistic expectations before any engagement begins.
5. SEO and Business Outcomes
While improved Core Web Vitals and page speed are known ranking factors and positively impact user experience, we do not guarantee specific SEO rankings, traffic increases, conversion rate improvements, or revenue growth. Search engine rankings are determined by hundreds of factors beyond page speed, including content quality, backlinks, domain authority, competition, and algorithmic changes. Performance optimization is one important piece of a broader digital strategy.
6. Live Proof Links
We provide live Google PageSpeed Insights URLs for all optimized projects so you can verify results independently. Please note that these scores reflect real-time testing and may vary slightly from the scores shown at the time of project completion due to the factors described above. Scores may also change if the client modifies the website after our optimization is complete.
